Free Pattern: Light and Lacy Windowpane Gloves

These fingerless gloves are the perfect compliment to the Windowpane Scarf and Hat. A light and lacy texture might not be ideal for playing in the snow, but it will beautifully accent any cool weather outfit while you warm up by the fire or snuggle up to a good book.
One size fits most, but see the notes about how to adjust the pattern for your own needs. Finished size: 6 1/2" (16.5cm) long and 8" (20.3cm) circumference.

Skill Level:
Easy

Materials:
14 oz skein Red Heart Super Saver worsted weight acrylic yarn
*One 14oz skein will make the Windowpane Gloves, Scarf and Hat

Crochet hook size K/10 1/2 (6.5mm) or size needed to obtain gauge
Tapestry needle or smaller hook for weaving in ends

Gauge:
1 dc = 3/4" (2cm) high

Note:
I prefer to start with foundation double crochet (fdc), but as usual, if you have not learned this method: Ch 26, 1 dc in 4th ch from hook and in remaining 21 sts.
Fdc creates the foundation chain and first row of stitches at the same time. It also allows the piece to stretch to fit. If you do not begin with fdc, you may need to adjust your pattern.
Instructions are given at the end of the pattern for how you can increase your pattern if needed. If you need to decrease the size, try a smaller hook.

Stitches:
Slip stitch (sl st)
Chain (ch)
Double crochet (dc)
Foundation double crochet (fdc)
