Details Later

I have a real post for you tomorrow, but I'm not done with it yet. I've had an exhausting day that ended with a scary car ride home in a thunderstorm, and it's already past my bedtime. I'm up later than I should be because I was so close to a finish that I couldn't give up.

I'll give you the long-story-short version for now: I started this at the beginning of the year, I've had slow progress on it for a while, then I frogged the whole project and finished it in three days. It ate a huge hole in my stash of bags for plarn! Plus, I've come up with a few more ideas along the way.

So, I need to be getting to bed; 4 a.m. will be here soon enough... I can start a new day, and a new project! For now, you get one bad late-night photo. But at least you can see that the project has already been cat-approved.

plarn, crochet, mat, rug, finger crochet

PS - Did you catch me? No, I'm not going to start a new project; I'm going to work on finishing another. But I am going to work on a video tutorial, because I finally got my tripod, yay!

Happy Crocheting!

  1. Nice rug! Love the placement of the white. Since your last WIPs post, I decided to start the plarn rug I wanted to work. My cat loves plastic bags so I am really hoping that after all the work he doesn't tear it up. We'll see.

    1. At least with plarn the material is free, but I do worry about kitties getting hold of the plastic if they are big on chewing. Mine scratch at it but they don't tear it up, however, it will depend on how rough Shiloh gets with his playing (he's a big kitty!). I hope your rug works out for you! (PS, some hot glue lines on the back side will make it non-slip.)

  3. Hi Jenny,
are you absolutely sure your cat is happy with the rug? She does look a bit sceptical on the picture - or maybe she's already planning to rip it so that you can start another one...? Well done though!
    Happy crafting,

    1. Marjan, I didn't notice her look of extra-contempt. -LOL- She was super mad because I wouldn't let her be on the rug in the photo, but she always has a mad look if she's not getting treats. I think she knows the rug is going in "her" room because she seems to be waiting on it. Or is she making plans to destroy and I didn't realize? Oh no!
